After years of development, China's solar thermal power generation product manufacturing industry chain has basically formed, and the equipment and materials used in solar thermal power stations have been greatly developed and have considerable capacity.

UN Secretary-General Guterres spokesman Diyarik recently said that China has become the most important driving force for the surge in global solar investment, which prompted global solar investment to surpass fossil fuel investment for the first time last year.

The UN Environment Agency reports that global investment in green energy has been $2.9 trillion since 2004, and China has been leading the way in promoting solar power generation in recent years. China’s investment in solar power generation last year was as high as 86.5 billion US dollars, which has become the driving force for the growth of the solar industry.

According to the Prospective Industry Research Institute “China PV Power Industry Market Prospect and Investment Strategic Planning Analysis Report”, the number of solar cell exports in China from January to December 2017 was 945.64 million, a year-on-year increase of 22.5%; January-December 2017 China's solar cell export value was 11,335,128 thousand US dollars, an increase of 0.1%.

Diyarik said that the global installed capacity of solar power generation reached a record 98 GW last year, far exceeding the net increase in renewable energy, fossil fuels and nuclear energy. Among them, China's newly added solar power installed capacity last year was about 53 GW, more than half of the global total; solar investment reached 86.5 billion US dollars, an increase of 58% over the previous year.

In addition to the accelerated investment in solar energy, Diyarik said that China is still the world's largest investor in renewable energy. In addition, renewable energy investments in Australia, Mexico and Sweden have increased significantly.

The report found that China’s total investment in the renewable energy industry last year was $126.6 billion, the highest in the world. This figure is 31% higher than 2016. The total installed capacity of renewable energy in the world last year was 157 GW.

According to incomplete statistics, in 2017, China's solar thermal power generation of various types of manufacturing enterprises (mainly joint ventures and domestically-owned) added 25 new, totaling 178, manufacturing products covering solar concentrating parts, heat absorbing parts, heat transfer The six major categories of heat storage and materials, steam turbine generator sets, integrated control systems, and auxiliary systems basically cover the entire industrial chain of solar thermal power generation.
